ABOUT US
Knighton Park Amateur Operatic Society (KPAOS) is renowned in Leicester as one of the largest amateur musical theatre production companies.
From Calamity Jane – our very first show back in 1979 – all the way through to 2025's Hairspray! -The Broadway Musical, we have entertained audiences for over 40 years.

In 2019, we welcomed five new committee members and appointed Chairperson to longstanding committee member Jade Afflick-Goodall.
We're proud to have supported some great causes over the years, raising money for Rainbows Hospice, Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre, Children in Need, Heartlink, Pancreatic Cancer UK and many more.

We're an inclusive and encouraging group, with members who return year after year to take part in shows, with some even roping in friends and family who have discovered new talents back stage, front of house, and even on stage themselves.​​​
